The JNCM are a traditional event in the national scientific field.
Description: The Dr. Héctor Zaixso Coastal Development Institute and the Golfo San Jorge Research and Transfer Center are in charge of organizing the XI National Conference on Marine Sciences (JNCM) and the XIX Oceanography Colloquium. This initiative promotes interdisciplinarity and integration among Argentine researchers from different institutions, facilitating the shared use of material resources and promoting the training of human resources.
On this occasion, the main theme of the conference is “Ecosystem Services: perception, valuation and management for human well-being and sustainable development”. By virtue of this, specific conferences and seminars are developed, related to the ecosystem services offered by marine and coastal environments; tourism and conservation; fisheries; aquaculture; off-shore exploration and exploitation and marine spatial planning.
The XI JNCM are held in Comodoro Rivadavia between March 28 and April 1, 2022 and are part of a context of public policies that promote the development of marine sciences in our country.
